We all must go through some sort of trial, pain, or suffering in our life here on earth. It is an important part of our existence. Don’t fear sorrows and pain. Use it as a teacher and have the understanding that though Christ’s Atonement, we will have the power to have joy as great as the depth of our sorrows.
When we fear sorrow and pain we tend to feel helpless and then become passive. We become stagnant which leads us to become even more unhappy.
As you work on understanding why you had that sorrow, you will see that it has been consecrated for your good some how. Be brave and keep moving forward.
Pain and suffering teaches us many things. Sometimes it shows us that we have lived in fear instead of faith. It reminds us to change to avoid having that sorrow and pain again. We can learn greater faith and hope.
My PTSD drove me to finding God. It helped me find peace, joy and meaning in my life.
Don’t stand still waiting for the river of sorrows to dry up. Pass through it with the grace and power of God. You’ll be a better person on the other side of pain and sorrow.
