We all want to be more intuitive and make wiser decisions right? This is the oil for that!
I love Sandalwood. I use it several times a week to help me get divine download!
I am very grateful to have access to high quality Sandalwood oil.
As you know dōTERRA sells two types of Sandalwood. They are both CPTG standard of course and have a high level of therapeutic benefits. There are other fantastic organic grades out there on the market too, but true to dōTERRA style, they only buy the best. Above is an example of comparison of sandalwood oils. I was taught that Santalol is a sesquiterpene. Some sandalwoods produce essential oils with only 20% of sesquiterpenes. dōTERRA’s Sandawood tops the chart at 80-90% Santalol.
According to Wiki “β-Santalol is an organic compound that is classified as a sesquiterpene. It comprises about 20% of the oil of sandalwood, the major component being α-santalol. As of 2002, about 60 tons of sandalwood oil are produced annually by steam distillation of the heartwood of Santalum album.” 1
I am not going to pretend to be an expert in essential oil chemistry. What I do know is that sesquiterpenes have many benefits. The benefits of sesquiterpenes are antibacterial, anti-inflmammatory, antispasmodic, sedative, soothing to skin and tissues. They have the ability to surpass the blood-brain barrier and enter the brain tissue.
Other oils that have high levels of sesquiterpenes are: Ginger, Myrrh, Vetiver and Ylang Ylang.2

MIND
Sandalwood is the Oil of Spiritual Devotion.
According to the Emotions & Essential Oils the negative emotions Sandalwood helps to shift are the following: disconnected from God or spiritual-self, emptiness, overthinking, and materialism.
The positive properties we can adopt are the following: humility, spiritual devotion, spiritual clarity, stillness, surrender, higher consciousness.
Meditation: This is a great oil to smell as you meditate. It help your mind be clear and still. All the greatest minds and thinkers have spent a lot of time being still and doing their super thinking. When we give ourselves time to be alone and think, we get to know ourselves, the universe, and we get awesome ideas and mental clarity.
Relieve Obsessive Overthinking: 2-3 times a day rub diluted Sandalwood on the forehead, ears, wrists and back of neck. Consider wearing the Sandalwood oil in a necklace diffuser all day, too.
Uplifting Mood: Add Sandalwood to your favorite oils such as Wild Orange, Cypress, Ylang Ylang and inhale to uplift your mood. Sandalwood is used in many of the dōTERRA blends. Sandalwood is in Console the comforting blend, Passion the inspiring blend, Serenity the restful blend, Elevation the joyful blend, Immortelle the anti-aging blend, InTune the focus blend, Whisper the blend for women.
Post Trauma Relief: 3 drops Sandalwood, 2 drops Frankincense, 1 drop Melissa, 1 drop Wild Orange with 1 teaspoon of Fractionated Coconut oil. Mix in hands and inhale deeply.

SPIRIT
We all need to balance being between heaven and earth. Sometimes we are in the clouds and other times we can’t see beyond what our naked eyes can see. I love Sandalwood because it helps us balance that way.
For those who only see things for what they look like now are not fully tapping into their creative power. We create everything in spirit and in our mind first before it becomes reality! That means these people may feel empty and lack of purpose. If asked, “What do you want to do with your life?” or “Where do you see yourself in 5 years, in 10 years?” These people may struggle to imagine life any better or different. Use Sandalwood oil and start creating mentally and spiritually what your life may be like.
This is not restricted to your life, it can be people too. When I look at certain people, I see their potential and success. That helps me guide them to success.
The term ‘Materialism’ mentioned above means we are stuck seeing the word as it is and can’t see it for it’s potential. Sandalwood helps you see what isn’t there YET!
On the other hand for those who are often in the clouds and in their heads, Sandalwood helps them stop OVERTHINKING and take it one day at a time. When we surrender to the Divine, we are guided and led. Things don’t feel as difficult as we imagine.
At times I feel called to do something for God. I want to know how to do it His way so I pray and use the following blend to open my mind, heart, and spirit up for divine download. When I do this, it feels like the words just flow effortlessly. This is especially good when I am working on a church talk or presentation. Use this blend when you want to be just a little wiser.
Open for Inspiration Blend: 12 drops Melissa, 30 drops Frankincense, 6 drops Spikenard, 10 Sandalwood Mix oils in order in 10ml glass roller bottle. Fill the rest of the bottle up with fractionated coconut oil. Rub blend over heart, forehead and inhale.
