It’s almost a tradition to set new goals at the start of a calendar year. It’s a free start. People feel good about starting things. New start, new life, another chance.
Here are my tips for setting your New Year’s Resolutions:
- Ask for Divine Guidance
- Simplify
- Plan
- Be Accountable
Sadly, some people are not making New Year’s Resolutions because they feel like they will fail. That’s just fear and discouragement. And that is not a good excuse. Give yourself a break and set some new goals. Leave the past in the past and get started on your future.
ASK FOR DIVINE GUIDANCE
We essentially want to be happy, and sometimes we think that if we look like someone else or do something that someone else does, we might be happy. Not a good approach. However, if we just look within ourselves, we will discover our own unique path. When we seek for Divine guidance and look within ourselves, we gain strength.
I believe when you have Divine guidance, you are more likely to achieve your goals of being happy because you have heavenly help.
SIMPLIFY
Narrow you resolutions down to no more than five main categories (because we only have five buckets in our heads). Just focus on those five (or less) things.
PLAN
Break down you goals into daily or easy-to-do activities. Think about the tasks that you need to do to achieve your goals. Visualize in your mind how you can do those tasks.
BE ACCOUNTABLE
Write your resolutions down and share them with others. When you share your goals with family and friends, you are more likely to achieve them. If possible work on your goals with friends.
What oils can help you in the process?
These three essential oils are amazing to use in your creative process:
- Cheer – to make one happy, to give hope, faith, and determination
- Passion – to be inspired, and to tap into your amazing creativity
- Motivate – to encourage, to give hope, and bring confidence
One final note:
I feel like one of the keys to my success is realizing that I am always in the middle, that I’m comfortable with not having everything figured out. When we reach a place of new understanding, we are presented with new information, challenges, or experiences. Then we ride the waves again, and we can choose to enjoy it. I am grateful to know that there is always a new lesson on the horizon and that I will be a better person. I am also grateful for Divine assistance.
You will be happy NOW when you surrender to the power of the Divine. Being happy now helps you attract success which makes you even more happy!
I am learning to surrender to Divine will, because I know that God’s got my back. Some oils that I really like using when I savor my gratitude are Spikenard ( the oil of Gratitude) and Sandalwood (the oil of Sacred Devotion).
Good luck with making some awesome New Year’s Resolutions, everybody!
Love,
Jade
