Victor vs. victim? Empowered vs. unempowered? Light vs. darkness?
Sometimes we think that these are our only choices. Not everything is either black or white. The danger in that exclusive way of thinking is we create false confidence into thinking we are already victors thus becoming blind to our opportunities for growth. In reality, we are all living in different shades of grey. What I mean is, we are at different degrees between passiveness and proactiveness. We all have work to do to be more proactive, empowered, and bright.
Being proactive means we recognize our power to ACT. One of the most precious things we own here on earth is our agency; our power to choose our thoughts, beliefs, feelings and actions. We must continually and diligently guard this right which is ours.1
I strongly feel that owning our autonomy is the only way we can truly create a life of fulfillment in this life and refine our spirit for the next life. We can’t passively further our progression. When we give away our power, we feel unsettled, powerless, and eventually become a victim to everyone, anything, and everything.
My job is to empower women. That means I tell them what they need to hear to help them take the actions for themselves. Many people I know want to be more proactive but they don’t know how. The other problem is when people don’t recognize WHEN they are being passive and if they are being passive at all.
I feel that it is helpful to list out what passiveness looks like so people can awaken to themselves. If you read through these things and your heart feels ‘pierced,’ then please see that as an opportunity to change.
Signs of Passiveness

The more empowered and proactive we are, the more happier and holier we become. Our lives become more simplified. The home is cleaner and more organized. Relationships with people improve. Here are other signs of proactive people.

How to become more Proactive?
Being proactive requires one to be self-aware. Self-awareness requires people to be able to feel their heart and ‘hear’ what their heart is telling them. They have to allow themselves to be vulnerable and honest with themselves especially when it is uncomfortable.
Proactive people can identify various heart feelings and is able to communicate those feelings well. Our feelings drive actions. Actions lead to the outward results of our lives. Being self-aware requires one to recognize how the results connect to the actions that have chosen.
Actions are driven by our thoughts. Sometimes we don’t know our thoughts very well. Taking the time to explore our thinking will be helpful. The thoughts, feelings, actions and results are all the things I study to figure out what is the core beliefs are on the inside.
Our core belief must be aligned to God. When we aligned to God, we experience a divine self-assurance.
That self assurance always goes back to our beliefs in divine truth. Simply ask God in prayer and He will help you understand the following truth:
- Our true divine identity
- Our divine potential to create joy
- Our ability to connect to God and receive divine downloads & directives.
- Our fundamental divine needs of divine love & freedom to choose
When we intentionally work out our beliefs in God, we will have the wisdom to be proactive in all the ways possible. It will be easier than we previously thought. As you read scriptures, ponder, pray and connect to God, He will show you clearly the answers. He is a loving, intelligent father who does not hold back.
We can live a life filled with miracles and happiness when we choose it intentionally.
