Nootka is the oil of Graceful Elegance.  Nootka assist those who have forgotten their true value and worth by powerfully reminding them of their divine noble heritage.  As we reconnect to our divine nobility, we will be inspired as to how to change our behaviors and how to best live our lives.

Nootka helps you awaken to divine truth and to your divine powers within.  You have the power to be graceful and civil in any situation.  Even if other people are uncivil, you can respond positively.  Strive to be grounded, wise, relaxed, and present because you are practicing becoming your best self.

Show more respect for yourself on all levels and you will naturally invite the world to respect you through your behavior.  One powerful way to show respect to yourself is to allow your body to be clean inside and out.  Nootka assists those who have neglected their physical body’s needs, to lovingly nurture and care for their body.  That way you can be healthy on the inside and radiant outside.

Nootka helps us cleanse the negative mental programing.  We can all have the mental clarity necessary to easily shield ourselves from negative or dark thoughts and beliefs.  When we are very clear on our identity, we can be very clear on our boundaries.  Gracefully elegant people naturally repel the negative people who do not vibrate at the level of grace and elegance.

Nootka is the world’s strongest and one of the most useful cedar trees.  The indigenous people of the Canadian Pacific Northwest Coast revere and have used Nootka Cypress extensively as an integral part of their lives.

Actions: Apply regularly on the feet for systemic support.  Apply on location.  Dilute and massage on the body.  Diffuse and inhale.  Add to a warm Epsom salt bath soak.

Possible Substitutions: If you don’t have this oil, here are some other oils with similar qualities you can try:  Arborvitae, Cedarwood, Roman Chamomile, Oregano, Thyme, and Grapefruit.  The blends Northern Escape, TerraShield, and Forgive all have Nootka.  Nootka contains nootkatone, which is also found in Grapefruit.  It also contains nootkatene, carvacrol, and valencene.
