Honor Your Life’s Purpose
Our life’s purpose or calling is uniquely ours, and we only answer to God and no one else. We all have a place and a role we need to play during our time on Earth. Earth is the second stage of our progression.
We lived with God before as spirits. Now on Earth, we have a body with which we can practice heavenly principles in. You and I are completely free to choose where we will end up after this Earthly life. The path to happiness and greatness is already paved for us by Jesus. We just have to choose to walk that path. Furthermore, that path is do-able for each of us. We are the ones who make it dark, complicated and difficult when we lack spiritual light.
Keep that perspective in mind. When we are not in alignment with our life’s purpose we will experience something called divine discontent. Divine discontent is an unsettling feeling in your heart. You may feel dark, confused, drained, discouraged, and restless. This divine discontent is fantastic because it reminds us that we are not doing what we are ‘meant’ to be doing here on Earth. Or that we are doing something wrong.
We should not dismiss it, mask it or medicate it! Take responsibility for it and work it out. Divine discontent means we are misaligned and need to realign to God again!
Life will continue to remain meaningless, confusing, dark and draining until we discover our life’s purpose. Living our life’s purpose will give us love, light, power and joy. This doesn’t mean life will always be completely comfortable filled with butterflies, daisies and rainbows. It actually will mean some ‘growing pains’ along with the promise of a lot more love, light, power, happiness and joy.
You and I are each unique individuals. I’ve learned through prayer, scripture study, my own experience and my work with others, that we all have a special role to play on Earth as part of the grand tapestry of how the world is meant to unfold. We all have our own path. Others, including your children have their own path. We just need to encourage others to remember who they are and to get back to the path where they are fulfilling their life’s purpose.
I would go as far as to say, each of us have spent time with God, our Heavenly Father. With Heavenly Father we prepared together our life’s purpose. It isn’t something the Almighty forces upon you. It is something you have co-planned and chosen to do. Your heart-compass within you will guide you and remind you of this plan while on Earth. The divine discontent indicates a need for course correction. When you experience the buoyant, burning heart that indicates you are on track!
God has prepared all needful thing for you to fulfill your life’s purposes. When you believe this and choose to receive His on-going instructions then, you will be confident and be able move forward with unwavering faith. I know that the current knowledge and skill we have is sufficient to do what we are meant to do now. God will sanctify us with more light and knowledge as we need it along our path.
You and I, must believe that since He has prepared a way for us to fulfill our life’s purpose that we will have all the time, money, strength, help and other resources to successfully carry out our work. I think these comforting and exciting thoughts often; God must believe I can succeed, if not, why would He send me here, if He knew I would have no chance at all but to fail. If ever I doubt and start sinking then it is my human fear creeping in and that is a sign of a reduction of my faith.
What if you don’t know your life’s purpose or dream?
I understand that worry. I promise that you will know when you are being still, prayerful and reflecting on your strengths and talents. Ask yourself what creates happiness, passion, and power within you? How can you serve humanity with your current abilities?
I like the quote by Devon Franklin, an American Hollywood producer, best-selling author, renowned preacher and motivational speaker,
“Don’t downgrade your dreams to match your reality, upgrade your faith to match your destiny.” Devon Franklin
We are sanctify-able beings, so let God help you upgrade through your faith and willingness to fulfill your life’s purpose. You may have forgotten your destiny but God hasn’t and your heart-compass hasn’t.
You may be thinking that you are already doing good, why should you push yourself out of your current comfort zone? The opposition likes to distract us with good things. When we clarify our life’s purpose or calling we need to then clarify our boundaries. We have to say, ‘no’ to good things and focus more on doing only the best things. Practice saying, ‘no’ to things. Your faith reflected in your heart and body will help guide you in making these decisions.
Our boundaries include a clear understanding of what we have control over and what we don’t have control over. We have a lot of control over our health than we realize. We have control over our beliefs and what we manifest. We have control over our thoughts and actions. We have control over our feelings too. Did you know we have control over how much money we earn and how much time we have? Yes, we get to create those things.
What happens when you don’t ‘upgrade’ and honor your life’s purpose? You will remain confused, dark, discouraged, and unsettled. Eventually if you hold onto that fear energy too long, you will have leg problems, heart problems, breathing problems and a slew of other physical ailments.
On the other hand, you can heal yourself by taking responsibility for your power, step up to your calling (purpose) and connect to God through faith. If you aren’t physically ill yet, prevent the physical manifestations by aligning your will to God now. I like to use many things to help me stay aligned. One of my favorite things is to diffuse essential oils while I think and figure things out. Here are some suggestions below.
Essential Oils to help you be brave and visionary:
Frankincense, Kid’s Brave, Cassia, Bergamot, Elevation.
