How you manage one manages fear is a great indicator of how much success and progression one will enjoy. Overcoming fear is an important skill to have because fear will always come as part of growth no matter who you are.
The Root of Negative Emotions
Belief drives behavior! Emotions help you identify our beliefs. Our actions are dictated by our emotions. If we don’t know what we are feeling, we can look at our behavior and identify the emotions we have whether it is positive or negative. As you can see in the tree graphic above, our actions is a result of our feelings.
Positive emotions motivates and support us but negative emotions drain and drag us down. This is what stops us from progressing and achieving success.
To push through our negative feelings and get rid of it, we need to first understand it by asking ourselves questions about what it is that we are thinking and believing. We want to change it as soon as possible but sometimes we don’t know how or we are unaware of it but those emotions will give us clues!! Remember, all behavior is belief driven. You have to permanently change beliefs in order to change your behavior and then your results!
Guess what! The root of ALL negative emotions go back to FEAR! There are two types of fear. Real fear of danger like being run over by AND imagined fear, the crazy stuff we create in our head. Most of us don’t like that word, fear. We don’t like to think of ourselves as fearful and weak. But you can be brave and identify that fear for what it is in order to change. Did you know that fear has a lot of disguises? Look at the chart below. Are we familiar with some of them? Stress? Worry? Why are these fears all of a sudden acceptable in those disguises? They are still fears. Fear is darkness and negativity. It does not build, unify or create. It sabotages our growth and success.

It is ok to be fearful for a short moment because we are human. Remember the good fear can protect you to some extent. It stops you from running across the busy road blindly.
Practice identifying fearful feelings so you can recognize you’ve got negative energy to release. It means that you are on the brink of change and progression. You can cry and release all the guilt, hurt, pain and sorrows. It is healthy even though this ‘growing pain’ is uncomfortable at times.
Don’t let yourself stay there too long in the fear state, thinking you are resolving it, when you are allowing it to drag you deeper and deeper into the darkness.
You’ve heard the acronym FEAR= False Evidence Appearing Real right? We sometimes have irrational fears that takes over your creative energy. If you let that fear take over you, eventually it starts to be manifested in real physical health problems.
As soon as you recognize the negative fear emotion, use your power to push your way out into the light with whatever light you have within. The antidote to fear is FAITH!! The light within us is our power of faith. Faith has lots of names too. As soon as we connect our light with God’s light, He pulls us the rest of the way out. YAY!
Make sure you are not holding onto faith with one hand and onto fear with the other hand. If you do, then you will be stuck, conflicted and frustrated. It is like holding onto light and darkness at the same time. You can think of it as God is light and good. Satan is dark and bad.
No servant can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon. (Luke 16:13)
We can’t hold onto fear and faith at the same time and fully progress
We are creative creatures! We literally create what we fear if we focus on it too much. We often create our own failures and dramas.
For those people who are frustrated that they’ve not been able to ‘succeed’ or ‘make any progress’ at things they hoped to succeed in, consider letting go of whatever fears you maybe holding onto. It has not helped you up till now so let that fear go already. Focus on trusting! Receive fully into your heart the feelings of peace from God! Actually in reality, it usually starts more slowly by letting go of a bit of fear with one hand as you hold onto the faith more tightly with the other.
As we do some self-examination, we will see that our fears are because we are disconnected from God, our source of power and happiness. Sometimes we profess to have faith and believe but our hearts will help us gauge where we really are at. What is the resolution? The resolution is simple! It is to reconnect to God, our power source! Are you thinking, “Well Jade, that sounds easier said than done!” I promise it gets easier the more you practice. If I can do it, you can. God knows we can succeed, He wouldn’t have let us come to earth if our chances were slim! He is smart!
“Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you. … Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid” (John 14:27)
Above, is a tree graphic that shows the negative emotions that relates to neck problems. If you are holding onto your own understanding and it is not edifying you then let it go! Anything that does not build you up and lead you to true and lasting peace and happiness is not from the true source of light. So, let it go! God’s got you! Our Personal Lesson: Spiritual imbalance manifested in Physical dis-ease.
If you keep certain negative emotions inside for too long it will MANIFEST in your physical body. You will have physical health problems. Take Stubbornness for example: Stubbornness means holding on to old ideas and ways that isn’t edifying anymore. It is us fearing that things might go wrong if we don’t hold firm to our ways. Don’t be confused, stubbornness is not conviction. Conviction is the positive version of ‘holding on’ but to righteousness because it leads us to God. Stubbornness is darkness and disrupts our progression. When we hold onto the stubbornness for a long time, our colon will start manifesting problems. It holds onto feces longer than it should. Things starts rotting inside of us. We can try to physically eliminate these manifested symptoms of stubbornness with medications, laxatives, even essential oils but the root problem which is fear hasn’t been addressed yet! Addressing the fear and letting go of the need to hold on to our old ways will help the colon relax again and soon the physical problems goes away.
When we let go of a negative thought or belief create a void. We can refill that void with something good. That something else is FAITH! Faith is connecting back to God and trusting in His goodness. When we heal with our faith in God, our whole body starts to heal because everything in our body is interconnected. When we heal with our faith in God, our personal lessons are learned quickly and we feel like we’ve made progress as we push through to new levels.
Refer to the diagram below. The root of good health is all the same: connection to God through faith.
“That which is of God is light; and he that receiveth light, and continueth in God, receiveth more light; and that light groweth brighter and brighter until the perfect day.” (D&C 50:24)
With healing we actually are able to see, feel, hear and understand more. It is like we have awaken from a deep sleep. Our whole countenance is physically brighter and we feel physically lighter, as if the world is lifted off our shoulders.
“Make the heart of this people fat, and make their ears heavy, and shut their eyes–lest they see with their eyes, and hear with their ears, and understand with their heart, and be converted and be healed.” (2 Ne 16:10)
Practical Applications – FEAR SETTING ACTIVITY
I find it helpful to self-reflect and examine what is happening within. If you want to make significant changes you must make time for self-reflection and journalling. Journalling is a way to record and organize your thoughts. A journalling activity for fear I learned is called FEAR Setting! The answer lies in identifying what thoughts and beliefs do you hold that led you to those negative feelings. Ask yourself, “What are the true stems and roots to this particular negative emotion?” When you find it, simply rescript the mind and connect back to God.
Here are the 4 steps to FEAR Setting!
- Identify: Write down what your fear is.
- Live it: Imagine this fear to the extreme. Write down the worse possible scenario. Live in it for a moment.
- Resolve it: Then write what you would do if that worse possible scenario happened.
- Move on: Now that you have a game plan of what to do, you are no longer curious if that fear. Now move on. Focus on only the positive thing you want and not what you don’t want. What you focus on will grow because you are creating it with your divine powers. Solidify this new belief with affirmations, actions and essential oils. Your physical body will help you identify and gauge how well you are doing.
Take the neck problem example, you might notice an emotion of intolerance. So now we do FEAR setting.
- Identify: Fear that other’s brand of ‘shortcoming’ will affect me negatively because I can’t communicate things without offending them.
- Live it: Imagine if those annoying people came into your life to damage your life.
- Resolve it: You can still be yourself and fix your own problems. You can tell these people to leave. Set clear boundaries. Turn your head and see things from their point of view (the neck pain is the clue).
- Move on: You can re-script your beliefs by saying, “With God’s help I can express myself clearly and lovingly.” Or “God will guide my path to see what others see.” Personally, I would always use essential oils with this process to help make this mental change quicker, easier and more sure. If you have strong intuition, can muscle test or use an itovi scanner to find an essential oil it will make this self discovery journey easier.
Essential oil Example: For the physical neck pain we could dilute DDR Prime: DNA Repairing blend with Fractionated Coconut Oil and rub it on my neck. The DDR Prime, the Oil of Transformation, helps us transform our negative thoughts to positive thoughts.
Next, I would smell Lavender oil: The oil of Communication, to help me relax my mind. I might say, “I am able to communicate my thoughts and feelings with ease. I easily see other’s point of view.” Every time I use those oils, I make a mental association by saying those new affirmations. Essential oils are the positive, concentrated energies of the plants! It wraps us up in a powerful bubble of positivity, allowing our whole body to relax, produce happy chemicals and surrender.
Be Actively Engaged
We can’t avoid all fearful emotions and energy all the time. The dark energy is like gravity. Everyday it pulls us down. It gives us an opportunity to grow strong. When we are actively engaged in good works of light, filling up our minds and heart with positivity, we will have less negative emotions sneaking in to our space. We can avoid holding onto the negative energies too long because it often leads to physical dis-ease. The more we stand in the light, the easier it is to stay in the light. So seek to stand in holy places my friends. Yes, it takes effort, but it does get easier and easier. Honor that inner heart compass of light and keep refining yourself.
