Are you stuck in your old emotional home?
Your ’emotional home’ is the emotional state or vibration you are often in. Whatever is happening in your world, this is the place you revert to because you are use to it.
Most people try to change themselves with programs and products only to be frustrated, stuck, and overwhelmed at the perceived difficulties of effective change.
Change often don’t happen immediately. There are ways to make change happen easier and quicker though. Our resistance makes change difficult and extends our pains.
What is that ‘resistance’?
The resistance isn’t actually your fault necessarily. It is the old unsupportive false thoughts and beliefs lodged in your subconscious. Sometimes those old unsupportive false thoughts and beliefs are inherited and buried deep. How are we going to identify them all and get rid of them?
To help make it easier…Here is an analogy for you.
Upgrade your Emotional Home
We all want to be happier, healthier, and holier. This work is like upgrading to a new bigger house. Think about the process of moving homes. It is ridiculous to expect to move to any place instantaneously and effortlessly. Even if you are the richest person in the world. You will still need to put effort forth in picking the new home, then you have to hire people to help you move and pack if you don’t want to do it yourself. See it still takes effort.
Can we agree that change means effort and energy expenditure? When you make up your mind to move into your new emotional house, you want make a bit of time for the move. On the emotional side, you will need to give yourself a bit of time to make the change to decide where you want to go and what your new identity would look like.
When we move in our new emotional house, sometimes we bring along some of our old thoughts and beliefs. We are use to those things and are attached to them. But then there will be a time we may discover that those things don’t belong in the new identity or house. Like old outdated furniture, those old outdated unsupportive thoughts and beliefs no longer serve you. You must decide to toss them out and upgrade to supportive thoughts and beliefs.
When we do decide to toss out the old ‘stuff’ we will feel some discomforts and even pains. That is the resistance.
If you are intuitive, you will know what emotions you are feeling. With more self-awareness, you may discover where it comes from. It could come from your childhood or even inherited patterns from your family.
To change, you simply have to make up your mind and CHOOSE, a different more enlightened thought and belief. Then continue to strengthen those new thoughts and beliefs until it becomes part of your new you.
How to quickly identify the exact resistance to change
I like to muscle test to find out the different emotions that is currently on the surface. I do this for me, my family and clients. These emotions we are currently experiencing are clues as to what created them in the first place. What created the emotions are the thoughts and beliefs in the subconscious. When we pause long enough, we will be able to identify what those thoughts and beliefs are.
Once we identified those thoughts and beliefs, we can choose to rewrite those thoughts and beliefs to more supportive version. It takes effort but not impossible and after we do it often enough, it becomes easier. If we don’t consciously clean our ‘new house’ out like this, we will easily go back to the old self.
In our moments of insecurities we maybe tempted to move back to your old small cottage….don’t! Disrupt your old patterns by intentionally changing in this way.
Add more evidence to your support files
In order to stop going back to the old ’emotional house,’ we must strengthen the new thoughts and beliefs. We do that by continually adding evidence new upgraded thoughts and upgraded beliefs. Similar to fighting a legal case, I see it as adding more evidence to your supportive files. The upgraded feelings will be a natural result of a strong ‘case’ or ‘house’.
Allow yourself to adjust and be comfortable with your new state of being. Then that new home becomes the new you.
