Break the chains of negative generational patterns! It can end with you!
Douglas Fir is a fairly new essential oil to dōTERRA. Douglas Fir is a conifer that grows natively throughout North America. This tree was introduced to New Zealand and has taken over much of the space of their native trees. To protect the ecosystem from this fast growing tree requires funds and resources. As it turns out these Douglas Firs produce a beautiful type of essential oil. This discovery has created a market that will help support the environmental work of clearing the Douglas Fir from native New Zealand forests and protecting the indigenous trees. Combating the environmental impact and obtaining high quality essential oils is a win-win situation for our dōTERRA community and the environment.
This tall, evergreen fir tree is frequently used in the Christmas tree industry and has a lemon scented note that’s sweet and refreshing. Douglas Fir has a unique chemical composition that’s particularly rich in beta-pinene, contributing to its ability to promote feelings of clear airways. Douglas Fir can also be used to purify the skin and promote a positive mood. Blending Douglas Fir with citrus oils will create an uplifting environment while freshening the air.
It takes one young Douglas Fir tree to make one bottle of Douglas Fir oil. If you think about it, it is like having a Christmas tree in a bottle. Douglas Fir smells similar to other tree oils except with a bit of citrus hint to it.

When you think of Douglas Fir, think of two main things it can do for your body. It supports 1. The Respiratory system and 2. The muscular system. Douglas Fir is very gentle on the skin and can be applied with no dilution.
Open Airways: Mix 3:2:1 Douglas Fir, Eucalyptus, & Peppermint. Inhale directly or rub on chest, back, bottom of feet, and hands.
Immunity Booster: Add Douglas Fir to any blend & massage onto body, especially the spine. The central nervous system helps deliver the wonderful properties of essential oils to different parts of the body.
Immunity for Animals: Add Douglas Fir to shampoos for your pets. Apply on farmed animals to boost their digestive health. 1 2

Peace & Relaxation: Mix with Wild Orange, Bergamot, & Lemon oil. Diffuse or rub on temples and back of neck to relax and feel grounded.

SPIRIT
Douglas Fir is the Oil of Generational Wisdom. It is about creating new young ideas and cultures and breaking away from old destructive patterns.
Releasing Generational Blocks: Use this oil when you feel stuck and blocked. There are many positive wonderful things about your ancestors that you’ve inherited. There are also negative generational patterns that you are unconsciously carrying. You may not know everything about it, but you know there is something there holding you back. It may take a while to remove the negative energy, so use Douglas Fir until it has lost its hold on you. In the future, you may find you need it again for another layer of healing. If it is mental block of some sort, such as some sort of fear of making mistakes, inhale Douglas Fir and say affirmations such as:
>>I move forward successfully. I release the fear of making the same past mistakes. I learn from my mistakes.
>>I am a chain-breaker. I release the need to repeat the same mistakes. My ancestors are all behind me on this journey forward.
>>I confidently move forward with all the wisdom of the past. I learn from my ancestors and my own experience.
>>I freely breathe in the joy of life as I embrace future adventures.
Even if we have generational ‘garbage,’ we can find hope that we can overcome it and change in a significant way. You want to break the chains of negative patterns, so your children won’t be stuck with having to deal it.
Ads.Freeing Others: Give people the assistance that will help them own their own power. Sometimes we feel burdened by others’ issues. We are tempted to take their problems and fix them. You see a person in need, and you feel perhaps if you give them money or other assistance, it will fix their problem. This robs people of the pleasure and satisfaction of achieving something on their own. Balance your the help you give, so you don’t feel responsible to fix their problems.
In the long run, somehow the Universe/God will help them make it right. At this time, you are present in this person’s life, so you can do your part and your part ONLY. You may need to guide and lead people to doing something better.
Blend to Free Others: Rub Douglas Fir & White Fir on the areas that may be tense or sore such as the shoulders or back.
Affirmation: “I have wisdom to guide and let others discover their own power. I trust that they will learn from the past and move forward with confidence.”
