We are spiritual beings having an important physical experience here on Earth. Developing intuition helps us develop our spiritual muscles. Intuition is important to develop because it connects us with each other and with the Divine. It is more than just the brain firing and wiring together.
What is Intuition?
According to Google dictionary, “Intuition is the ability to understand something immediately, without the need for conscious reasoning.”
Have you ever picked up the phone to call a person and that person on the other side says that he/she was thinking of you and was about to call you anyways?
To me intuition is aligning the mind, heart, gut, and spirit. It is balancing and relying equally on all these aspects of self so we can make good choices and live happy and fulfilled lives.
Why is Intuition Important?
Intuition is important to develop because it connects us with each other and with the Divine. When we live and follow intuition we will always make the right choice. The right choice isn’t always the easiest but we will be happy in the end.
Intuition helps us be on the right path and fulfills our life’s purpose which ultimately brings us joy. It is like a happy meter. When something you just feel or sense isn’t right, it isn’t right. Sometimes you don’t have a reason for it, but it is just a ‘knowing.’ That intuition will help you gage and adjust life, so you stay happy.
I am grateful that I’ve developed this gift because it helps me help my family and friends. This is especially amazing when I do energy healing. I feel what they feel sometimes and have a deeper understanding and love for people.
How to Develop Intuition?
- Choose to be Intuitive
- Use Essential Oils
- Be Still
- Be Mindful
- Act. Practice Active Faith.
1. Choose To Be Intuitive
You have the power to choose in any situation. Consciously choosing to be intuitive helps create a new program subconsciously. Your mind will obediently work to develop that new belief by collecting evidence and experiences to support it.
We make tens of thousands of automatic decisions daily. When some of those subconscious choices are in conflict and don’t align with your higher good, you can change it. Choose how high you want to be on the level of consciousness. Declare to yourself that you choose to be intuitive. The highest level according to Dr. David Hawkins is Peace. That is when, in my opinion, you are more fully connected to God and partnering with Him to make extraordinary outcomes. Remember that it is possible and better to be productive, have peak performance, without stress. This is why you want to choose to be intuitive.
2. Use Essential Oils
Essential oils have high vibrations. Along with the amazing physical things they do, they will help align and connect your whole being.
Immortelle – This is a blend of amazingly high vibrating oils. Rose, one of the ingredients in Immortelle, is one of the highest vibrating oil known to man. Rub this oil on your third eye and inhale it.
Sandalwood – Sandalwood is the oil of Sacred Devotion. It assists in prayer and meditation. It helps you have clear thinking. It calms the whole body down, so that you are able to choose good thoughts. Rub this oil on your third eye and inhale it.
Patchouli – Patchouli is an oil you can rub all over your body. It protects cells and helps you connect your mind to your body. Massage this oil on your spine especially to get this oil protecting your central nervous system. Your body is talking to you all the time, pay attention to it. When everything aligns, simply act.
3. Be Still
Take time out to be still, think and meditate. The great thinkers in the world have spent a lot of time in solitude. Jesus Christ spent time alone as He prepared himself before His ministry.
“Franklin D. Roosevelt …spent much time alone while recovering from his polio attack. Harry Truman spent much time as a boy and as an adult alone on a Missouri farm. Quite possibly Hitler would never have achieved power had he not spent months in jail alone, where he had time to construct Mein Kampf.” David J. Schwartz, Ph.D. The Magic of Thinking BIG
At times it is helpful to fast (go without food and water for a time while praying or pondering). Many people fast, so they can concentrate on spiritual connection. Once a month, I fast for 24 hours. It helps me train my spirit to be more sensitive to divine promptings. I feel this has helped me improve my intuition.
Prayer is another way of being still and communing with the divine.
4. Be Mindful
Being mindful is being aware. Be ready to record inspirations, feelings and downloads. Part of being mindful is being grateful. Have pen and paper ready to record thoughts. You need to be aware of the balance between positive and negative, light and darkness, fear and faith within you. You want to cleanse the negative, dark, fears and consciously adopt more positivity, light and faith!
A wise man is a master of his mind. As you work on mastering intuition, you gain more confidence and actually surrender more to the universe and allow things to work for your good.
Meditation is a wonderful way to be mindful. I like the elemental meditation like the ancient Chinese people do, because it teaches me to harness the power of the elements inside of me making me more intuitive.
5. Act
When we are given instruction and inspiration from the Divine, act immediately. Do whatever you can now and systematically do the rest when you can. This reinforces the intuitive muscles of your being and invites more. When you simply act on intuition, you actually are acting in faith. I tell people that they are, “doing active faith.” Active faith is simply doing things that make room for miracles.
Conclusion
My twins are very intuitive. I love watching them ‘read each other’s minds.’ Couples who have been together for a long time do that too. I feel that is what is meant by being ONE. Everyone can develop intuition. Keep working at it and you will be guided daily in all you do. You will find great joy and satisfaction in the life you live.
