Myrrh was a very valuable commodity.  Myrrh is an ancient sacred essential oil. Myrrh was mentioned as a gift to the baby Jesus.(Matthew 2:11)  It was also one of the oils mentioned for the cleansing and beatification of Queen Esther.(Esther 2:12)

Thyme is a powerful spice oil.  It is a hard working hot oil.  Remember to dilute it when using it topically.  Be careful using it during pregnancy and with people who have epilepsy and high blood pressure.  It is like the brother to Oregano oil.  Use it for your respiratory, immune system, cleansing, and cellular support.  Thyme oil is found in the DDR Prime oil blend assisting in cellular health.

Vetiver helps relieve occasional muscles, spasms, sprains and strains, and can assist in relief of liver congestion. It can support wound repair and relieve dry skin and oily scalps.  Vetiver oil is used as a mood lifter.  It is helpful with sleep and has been proven effective with regulating and balancing appetite.

Siberian Fir is one of my favourite oils.  It is similar to White Fir except more powerful.  The major constituents in Siberian Fir are monoterpenes.  It is very plentiful.  Here is the comparison of Siberian Fir, Douglas Fir, & White Fir.  dōTERRA no longer carries White Fir.

Wild Orange is one of doTERRA’s top selling essential oils due to its energizing aroma.  dōTERRA Wild Orange oil is cold pressed from the peel.  Orange peel has been used for centuries in Asia for medicinal purposes.

dōTERRA Wintergreen is taken from the rural mountains of Nepal.  In my opinion, dōTERRA Wintergreen has a softer smell than other Wintergreen oils, yet, it is even more therapeutic. Wintergreen is found in the dōTERRA Deep Blue® Soothing Blend.  Wintergreen leaves has a very small yield of essential oils.

Geranium oil invokes many different responses.  Some people hate it and some love it.  If you hate it then you need to work on making friends with it soon.  Like most floral oils, Geranium oil is great for hormone balancing and great for skin.  The most common concern I use Geranium oil for is for kidney and bladder support.  Geranium is a great oil for bug repellent.  People have referred to Geranium as the poor man’s Rose oil.  This is because Geranium oil shares similar properties to Rose oil except it is much cheaper to produce.

Cinnamon is great for our organs especially the Gallbladder, Spleen, Stomach, Liver, Heart, Intestine, and Pancreas!

Cassia is from the same family as Cinnamon but it is from a different tree.  The most important thing to remember is that Cassia is a HOT oil so remember to dilute before putting it directly on the skin.

Bergamot is the oil of Self-Acceptance. According to the Emotions & Essential Oils, the negative emotions Bergamot oil helps to release are the following: Despair, low self-esteem, self-judgement, unlovable, and hopeless.

Arborvitae is a Cedar tree found in Canada.  The oils is sourced in a sustainable way.  Arborvitae is also referred to as the ‘tree of life.’  Some trees are 800 years old and have no signs of bugs.
Arborvitae essential oil is concentrated in tropolones.  This is a group of chemical compounds that protect against environmental and seasonal threats and have powerful purifying properties.  Tropolones is not found in any other essential oils.

Oregano is steam distilled from the leaves of the plant.  It has a strong herbal smell.  My friends from the Middle East loves the smell.  And it has so many uses. Be careful with Oregano as it is naturally a very HOT & spicy oil! PLEASE DILUTE! I usually use Fractionated Coconut Oil to dilute Oregano oil.  

Nearly everybody loves Peppermint essential oil.  Peppermint oil is the most popular essential oil in terms of volume sold.
Peppermint is an instant pick me up.  1 drop of peppermint oil is equal to 28 cups of peppermint tea.  Peppermint is added to many dōTERRA blends.

Lemon has so many amazing qualities.  Most of all it reminds people about sunshine.  I, Ben, remember the first time I met my wife.  I thought of sunshine. Sunshine is so warm and happy.  doTERRA’s Lemon essential oil reminds me of that feeling.  I am so amazed at Lemon’s amazing qualities.

Ylang Ylang essential oil is derived from the star-shaped flowers of the tropical Ylang Ylang tree.  It is a popular oil in perfumes and in aromatherapy.  Ylang Ylang is similar to Jasmine, in that it has been used for centuries in religious and wedding ceremonies.

Cardamom is fantastic for the digestive system and respiratory system.  When one is easily caught up in other people’s problems and situation your gut and lungs will be affected.

Lavender is also known as the Mother of Essential Oils.  Lavender is an amazing essential oil and one of the most useful.  Chances are that this will become one of the main essential oils you use in your home.  Lavender’s ability is unlimited.
For centuries, Lavender was a remedy for diverse ailments.  Herbalists frequently prescribed Lavender.  Women relied on Lavender for beautification.  You can find Lavender in many places and things.  Lavender is in smelling salts, in linen closets, scented lingerie drawers to protect clothing from moths and insects.

dōTERRA Fennel is sweet in taste and effectiveness.  It is an herb that has been used in Ancient Egypt, Greece, Rome, Great Britain, and India.
Fennel is very strong against environmental threats.  Using it often and in any way will help boost your immunity.
