Grapefruit is an oil that helps you feel good inside and out.  I think everyone should drink grapefruit oil as often as they can, even daily.  dōTERRA grapefruit oil smells sharp and clean just like fresh grapefruit should.  The essential oil is from the rinds (peel)–not the fleshy fruit.  The rind has a completely different chemical makeup, so those people who have been ‘advised’ not to eat grapefruit or oranges can now rest assured in using the essential oil without incident.  Grapefruit is an ingredient in the following blends: dōTERRA Slim & Sassy Metabolic Blend, AromaTouch massage Blend, and Citrus Bliss Invigorating Blend.

Dill is the oil of Learning & Application.  Like most culinary oils, Dill is great for the digestive system and organ cleansing.

Tangerine has a long history of use in Chinese culture and herbal health practices. The essential oil supports healthy digestion and metabolism.*  Tangerine has a sweet, tangy aroma, similar to other citrus oils, that is uplifting.  Tangerine is known for its cleansing properties, for supporting a healthy immune and respiratory system.

Black Spruce is the oil of Stability & Overcoming.  Whenever we use evergreen tree oils we are invited to link back to family and generations.  Whatever you can heal within you, will also heal generations before and after you.

Litsea is a plant native to East Asia. For hundreds of years it has been used by the indigenous people of Taiwan in traditional health practices.  It is very popular and can be used for so many things!!  It is also known by the name “mountain pepper” May Chang, in Mandarin.  Litsea grows on a tree.  It has lemon-scented flowers and small fruits that look like little peppers.  The essential oil is steam distilled from the small pepper-like fruits.  Litsea is currently sold in the Australian market only.

I’ve used Neroli oil for several years.  I am so grateful that doTERRA has come out with Neroli.  Neroli oil comes from the blossoms of the bitter orange tree.  Orange oil comes from the rind, Petitgrain oil comes from the leaves and Neroli comes from the flowers or blossoms. It takes 1 ton of blossoms to produce 1kg of Neroli oil.  doTERRA Neroli is part of the Touch range, which means it is perfectly diluted for topical usage.

Niaouli, Melaleuca quinquenervia is a type of Melaleuca tree.  It can live over 100 years old and is sometimes referred to as broad-leaved paperbark tree.  It’s main chemical components are: Eucalyptol, α-pinene.  This tree can grow tall and wide ‘[h]eight of 8–15 m (30–50 ft) high and a spread of 5–10 m (20–30 ft)’.  Niaouli grows well in warmer and wetter places such as coastal areas and swamps.  After bushfires it can quickly regenerate within weeks.  Niaouli is strong enough to withstand floods and droughts. It is a rich source of food for many native animals.

Whenever Melissa oil is needed, I always think to my self, “Oh boy, this is a BIG GUN!”  It helps us so profoundly on all levels of health.  On the physical level, it is powerful against environmental invasion in the form of nasty microbes. Clementine is the oil of Oil of Spontaneity & Ease.  Clementine spontaneously appeared as a hybrid fruit over 100 years ago.  Unlike other citrus fruits, it can grow in lower temperatures and require less maintenance to grow to maturity.  It is more tolerant to changes and is a lot more adaptive.

Palmarosa is the oil of Activating Charity.  Palmarosa in Italian means ‘rose palm’.  Rose is symbolic of love or divine love.  This oil helps us offer our hearts up and entrusting it to God and others.  God promises to protect us with His loving powers.  Palmarosa is high in Geraniol.  Rose and Geranium are high in Geraniol too!

Lemon Myrtle is the oil of Clarity & Consciousness.  Lemon Myrtle is very powerful and similar to Melissa, Litsea and Lemongrass.  It goes beyond just cleansing the body and mind.

Hinoki is the oil of Natural Harmony.  Hinoki has a clean lemony-pine aroma.  It is one of the five sacred, revered, strong trees of Japan.  The high-quality timber of Hinoki is used to build palaces, temples, shrines, and bathtubs because of its natural ability to purify, repel water, and resistance to decomposition.
