The botanic turmeric powder has curcuminoids, which are large water-soluble molecules that has poor absorption and reduced biological activity. The power form of turmeric needs to be attached to some form of fat for it to be absorbed better. The Turmeric essential oil has pure Tumerones which are much smaller oil-soluble molecules. The essential oil form is many times more powerful than the herbal form and has a different chemical make up.
