About twice a year, doTERRA has a BOGO promotion. This is the absolute best way to buy essential oils. Not only do you get your 25% off, your 30% back in points, but you get a bottle of oil for free! That’s like buying your oils for 25% of the original price! That’s awesome!
How BOGO Works
BOGO for doTERRA is always a 5-day promotion. Every morning from Monday to Friday of the BOGO week (which we usually find out about the Saturday before), they announce a new promotion like buying Lemon and get a free Lime. So, there are 5 promotions in five days, 5 free oils! All you have to do is buy the “Buy One” oil in any way shape or form, and the “Get One” oil will appear in your cart. (Best to set up an additional LRP and “Process Now” every time.)
You can form a BOGO Relay to get the maximum value and reduce the shipping cost. Each time you order, you pay shipping for that day. So you pay shipping 5 times. Shipping is only $3.99 in the US, so that’s about $20 over the week. But you can even reduce that by forming a BOGO Relay Team with 4 other friends.

Reasons why you should set up a BOGO Relay Team:
- It’s a fun, social thing to share with others
- Save shipping (pay $3.99 once rather than $20 – as an example in the USA)
- Qualify for LRP points – save about $50 to $70 (when your PV on your LRP is over 50PV, you qualify to earn points and increase in percentage. If you have been ordering consecutively for over 12 months, you qualify to receive 30% of your points back in product points redeemable for free products. Purchase 5 sets rather than 1, and you get all that savings, and this goes for all your 4 friends, too.)

One of the benefits of buying BOGO as a relay team is that you earn product points that you normally would not on such small daily orders.
Choose four friends to join you for BOGO week. Each of you buys 5 of the “Buy One” oils for their assigned day (you can only purchase up to five of the BOGO promotion per account. For example:
- You get 5 of the BOGO on Monday
- Tonya gets 5 on Tuesday
- Barbara gets 5 on Wednesday
- Beth gets 5 on Thursday
- Claudia gets 5 on Friday
At the end of the week, you just add up what everyone spent and divide by 5. Best to include everything spent (taxes, shipping, etc.). Make it simple
- You spent $164.49
- Tonya spent $148.99
- Barbara spent $108.32
- Beth spent $247.42
- Claudia spent $163.99
In total, you spent $833.21. Divided by 5 people and you get $166.64 each. So your group splits in two: ones who need a refund and ones to pay a little extra.
Needing a refund (those who spent more than $166.64)
- Beth should receive $80.78
Need to contribute a little extra (those who spent less than $166.64)
- You should give $2.15
- Tonya should give $17.65
- Barbara should give $58.32
- Claudia should give $2.65
You collect a total of $80.78 from yourself, Tonya, Barbara, and Claudia, and give that to Beth. It’s that easy!
Contributions equalized, you then redistribute the products when they arrive.
What you save is huge! It’s like getting $406.55 worth of products for $166.64. Plus, on top of that, everyone qualifies for LRP points and will receive anywhere between 25.5PV and 68PV. If you translate that into money that’s about $25 to $68 value. Beth, who took the brunt of the initial expenditure gets $406.55 value of product for $98.55 ($166.64 minus $68 savings from points).
